We appreciate that professionals have diverse work and family time constraints and therefore we offer three course formats to best meet your needs.  We also allow some flexibility between options in case of unforeseen time conflicts.  For example, if you are enrolled in the weeknight Tuesday/Thursday session and you are not able to make one of the classes (perhaps due to travel conflicts), you may opt to attend the following Saturday session (with instructor approval).

Course Description:

This 35 hour course is specifically designed as a comprehensive review to prepare you for the rigorous 200-question PMP^® certification exam, as well as the CAPM^® exam.  The focus is directed at the five project management processes and nine knowledge areas in PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge, Third Edition (PMBOK^®). 

The course will begin with a discussion of the Project Management Institute (PMI^®), eligibility requirements for PMP^®/CAPM^® and a brief review of tips to apply for the exam. Emphasis will be placed on the makeup and format of the exam as well as test-taking techniques that will improve the chances of passing (LKA guarantee).  Students will learn the components of the PMBOK^® and related materials that will be tested with maximal use of study time directed toward passing the exam.  With the 1,200 simulation test questions students can focus on the entire exam and its knowledge areas or on weak spots to bolster confidence and increase the chances of passing.  The course will end with a discussion on important lessons learned and professional responsibility associated with being a certified individual.

Instructors:	LKA has assembled a group of experts from industry and academia to develop, constantly update, and deliver the project management courses.
	Manga Anantatmula, PMP is President and CEO of PKC, Inc.  She has over ten years of consulting experience with the federal government and private industry in the areas of project management, program management, project portfolio management, cost-benefit analysis, earned value management, project management office, and mentoring project management teams. She has received commendations from all her clients for the exceptional quality of her work. Mrs. Anantatmula is a member of the Project Management Institute and is a certified Project Management Professional.
	Dr. Vittal S. Anantatmula holds B.E. (Electrical Engineering), MBA, MS and D.Sc. in Engineering Management from the George Washington University. Dr. Anantatmula is a certified Project Management Professional and Certified Cost Engineer. He is a member of PMI and AACE.  Dr. Anantatmula has worked in the petroleum and power industries for several years as an electrical engineer and project manager. As a consultant, he worked with the World Bank, Arthur Andersen, and other international consulting firms. He has written a book and has more than ten journal publications in project management and knowledge management. Dr. Anantatmula has presented more than 20 papers in prestigious and international conferences.
	Dr. Nabil Bedewi is a faculty member in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, with specialty is information systems and project management. Prior to his academic career, he spent fifteen years in the defense and telecommunications industries. His experience spanned strategic planning, decision support systems and expert systems, organizational development, staffing and coaching, proposal and budget development/tracking, project management, software development (requirements to deployment), process re-engineering, workgroup automation, modeling and simulation, training and educating, and multiple hardware and software tools. Dr. Bedewi holds a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University. He is also certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP®), and is a published author of research papers in the fields of information technology and project management.

LKA Guarantees that students who meet our course completion requirements will pass the certification exam or they may repeat our course one more time for free, within one year of their initial enrollment term.
